IMPORTANT: Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the JetPicks platform. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

1. Introduction

1.1  These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the JetPicks platform, including our mobile application (iOS and Android), website at jetpicks.com, and any related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

1.2  The Platform is operated by JetPicks Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (“JetPicks”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Our registered office is at 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.

1.3  By registering an account or using any part of the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

1.4  We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

1.5  If you are using the Platform on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

2. Definitions

In these Terms, the following words have the meanings set out below:

Platform: The JetPicks mobile application, website, and all related services operated by JetPicks Ltd.

User: Any individual who registers an account on the Platform.

Jetpicker: A User who places a request for items to be purchased and delivered from another country.

Jetbuyer: A User who is travelling internationally and offers to purchase and carry items for a Jetpicker in exchange for a reward.

Order: A request created by a Jetpicker specifying items to be purchased and delivered.

Reward: The amount agreed between a Jetpicker and Jetbuyer as payment for completing a delivery.

Escrow: The holding of funds by JetPicks via Stripe pending confirmation of delivery.

Platform Fee: The fee charged by JetPicks for facilitating transactions, as set out in Clause 6.

Stripe: Stripe, Inc., the third-party payment processor used by JetPicks to process payments and manage connected accounts.

Connected Account: A Stripe account created by a Jetbuyer to receive reward payments.

InPost: InPost Group, a third-party locker delivery provider available as an optional delivery method on the Platform.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

3.1  You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3.2  You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your account information current.

3.3  You must not create more than one account without our express written permission. Duplicate accounts may be suspended or terminated.

3.4  You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3.5  You must notify us immediately at info@jetpicks.com if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

3.6  JetPicks reserves the right to verify your identity and may request documentation for this purpose. Failure to provide requested documentation may result in suspension of your account.

3.7  JetPicks reserves the right to refuse registration or suspend or terminate any account at its sole discretion, including where we believe a User has violated these Terms.

3.8  Users must be legally permitted to use the Platform in their jurisdiction. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations.

4. How the Platform Works

4.1 The Jetpicker Journey

4.1.1  Jetpickers create an Order specifying the items they wish to purchase from abroad, including item descriptions, store links, estimated prices, and their preferred delivery city.

4.1.2  Jetpickers browse available Jetbuyers travelling to their city and set a Reward for the delivery. Rewards are fully negotiable — Jetpickers may receive a counter offer from a Jetbuyer.

4.1.3  Once a Jetbuyer accepts an Order, the Jetpicker completes payment via the Platform. Funds are held in Escrow by Stripe until delivery is confirmed.

4.1.4  Jetpickers may choose to receive their items via in-person meetup or InPost locker collection where available.

4.1.5  Upon receiving their items, the Jetpicker confirms delivery via the Platform, which triggers the release of funds from Escrow to the Jetbuyer.

4.2 The Jetbuyer Journey

4.2.1  Jetbuyers log their upcoming travel details including departure and arrival cities, dates, and available luggage capacity.

4.2.2  Jetbuyers browse Orders matching their travel route and accept or negotiate Orders they wish to fulfil.

4.2.3  Before purchasing any items, Jetbuyers must ensure payment has been secured in Escrow. The Platform will notify Jetbuyers when it is safe to proceed with purchases.

4.2.4  Jetbuyers purchase the specified items, carry them to the destination, and deliver them to the Jetpicker as agreed.

4.2.5  Jetbuyers upload proof of delivery via the Platform and submit their delivery outcome. Upon confirmation by the Jetpicker, the net Reward is released to the Jetbuyer’s Connected Account.

4.2.6  Jetbuyers may withdraw earnings from their wallet to their linked bank account at any time. Transfers typically take 1–2 business days.

4.3 Counter Offers

4.3.1  Jetbuyers may submit one counter offer per Order. Jetpickers may accept or decline the counter offer. No further negotiation is permitted after a counter offer has been submitted.

4.3.2  If a counter offer is accepted, the agreed counter offer amount becomes the binding Reward for that Order.

4.4 Delivery Methods

4.4.1  The Platform currently supports two delivery methods: in-person meetup and InPost locker delivery (where available). The Jetpicker selects the preferred method at the time of payment.

4.4.2  InPost locker delivery is subject to availability in the relevant country and incurs an additional fee as set out in Clause 6.

4.4.3  JetPicks is not responsible for the availability of InPost lockers or any issues arising from InPost services. Any such issues should be directed to InPost directly.

5. User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct

Users must not use the Platform to request or carry any of the following:

JetPicks reserves the right to immediately suspend any account involved in the transport of prohibited items and to report such activity to the relevant authorities.

6. Platform Fees and Charges

6.1  JetPicks charges fees for facilitating transactions between Jetpickers and Jetbuyers on the Platform. All fees are displayed clearly before any payment is made or Order is accepted.

6.2 Jetpicker Fees

When placing an Order, Jetpickers are charged:

Both fees are shown as separate line items on the Order summary screen before payment is confirmed. By proceeding to payment, the Jetpicker accepts these charges.

6.3 Jetbuyer Fees

6.3.1  When a delivery is completed and earnings are released, JetPicks deducts a service fee of 2.5% from the agreed Reward amount before transferring the balance to the Jetbuyer’s Connected Account.

6.3.2  The net amount payable after the 2.5% deduction is displayed on the Order accepted screen before the Jetbuyer confirms acceptance. By accepting an Order, the Jetbuyer agrees to this deduction.

6.3.3  Example: If the agreed Reward is £40.00, JetPicks deducts £1.00 (2.5%) and transfers £39.00 to the Jetbuyer’s wallet.

6.4 InPost Delivery Fees

Where a Jetpicker selects InPost locker delivery, the following additional fees apply:

These fees are added to the Jetpicker’s total and shown clearly at checkout. InPost fees are paid by JetPicks to InPost from the Platform’s account.

6.5 No Hidden Charges

6.5.1  JetPicks will not charge any fees beyond those described in this Clause 6 without providing advance notice to Users.

6.5.2  JetPicks reserves the right to amend its fee structure at any time. Users will be notified of any changes via email and in-app notification at least 14 days before any new fees take effect. Continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated fees.

6.6 Taxes

6.6.1  Users are solely responsible for determining and paying any taxes applicable to their use of the Platform, including income tax on rewards earned and any customs duties or import taxes on items delivered.

6.6.2  JetPicks does not provide tax advice. If you are unsure of your tax obligations, you should seek independent professional advice.

7. Payments, Escrow, and Payouts

7.1  All payments on the Platform are processed by Stripe. By using the Platform, you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service, available at stripe.com/legal.

7.2  When a Jetpicker confirms payment for an Order, funds are held in Escrow by Stripe. The Jetbuyer is notified when funds are secured and it is safe to purchase items.

7.3  Funds are released from Escrow to the Jetbuyer’s Connected Account upon the Jetpicker confirming delivery via the Platform. If the Jetpicker does not confirm within 48 hours of the Jetbuyer marking delivery, funds may be released automatically at JetPicks’ discretion.

7.4  Jetbuyers must register a Connected Account via Stripe’s hosted onboarding process to receive payments. JetPicks never stores full bank account details.

7.5  JetPicks is not responsible for any delays in payment processing caused by Stripe, banking systems, or factors outside our control.

7.6  In the event of a dispute, JetPicks reserves the right to hold funds in Escrow pending resolution. Any decision to release or refund funds during a dispute will be at JetPicks’ sole discretion based on the evidence provided by both parties.

7.7  JetPicks does not pay interest on funds held in Escrow.

7.8  Payouts from the Jetbuyer’s wallet to their bank account typically take 1–2 business days following withdrawal. JetPicks cannot guarantee specific timeframes as these depend on banking systems.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

8.1  Jetpickers may cancel an Order at any time before a Jetbuyer has accepted it. No charge will be made for cancellations at this stage.

8.2  Once a Jetbuyer has accepted an Order and payment has been secured in Escrow, cancellation may be subject to a cancellation fee at JetPicks’ discretion to compensate the Jetbuyer for any costs already incurred.

8.3  If a Jetbuyer is unable to complete a delivery after accepting an Order, the Jetpicker will receive a full refund of all amounts paid including Platform Fees, provided no items have been purchased. If items have been purchased, the Jetbuyer is responsible for returning or compensating for the cost of those items.

8.4  Refunds are processed to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on the card issuer.

8.5  Platform Fees are non-refundable once a Jetbuyer has accepted and begun the delivery process, except where JetPicks determines otherwise at its sole discretion.

8.6  JetPicks reserves the right to cancel any Order at its sole discretion, including where we suspect fraudulent activity, prohibited items, or a violation of these Terms.

9. Delivery Confirmation and Disputes

9.1 Delivery Outcomes

When submitting a delivery, Jetbuyers must select one of three outcomes:

Notes are required for partial delivery and unable to deliver outcomes. These notes are visible to both the Jetpicker and JetPicks support.

9.2 Disputes

9.2.1  In the event of a dispute between a Jetpicker and Jetbuyer, either party may contact JetPicks support at info@jetpicks.com within 7 days of the disputed delivery date.

9.2.2  JetPicks will review evidence submitted by both parties, which may include proof of purchase receipts, delivery photos, in-app chat history, and tracking information.

9.2.3  JetPicks’ decision on any dispute is final and binding on both parties. JetPicks will use reasonable endeavours to resolve disputes within 14 business days of receiving all required evidence.

9.2.4  JetPicks acts as a facilitator and is not a party to the transaction between Jetpickers and Jetbuyers. Our liability in any dispute is limited to the amounts held in Escrow in relation to that specific Order.

10. Customs, Import Duties, and Legal Compliance

10.1  Users are solely responsible for ensuring that all items requested, purchased, and transported comply with the laws of both the country of purchase and the destination country.

10.2  Jetpickers must not request items that are illegal to import into their country. Jetbuyers must not carry items that are illegal to export from the country of purchase or import into the destination country.

10.3  Any customs duties, import taxes, or other charges levied by customs authorities are the sole responsibility of the Jetpicker. JetPicks has no liability for such charges.

10.4  Jetbuyers must declare all carried items to customs authorities as required by applicable law. Failure to make required declarations is a serious criminal offence and may result in criminal prosecution. JetPicks will cooperate fully with any law enforcement investigation.

10.5  JetPicks reserves the right to immediately terminate the accounts of any Users found to be using the Platform to circumvent customs laws or import restrictions.

10.6  By placing or accepting an Order, both parties confirm they have read and understood their customs obligations for the relevant route.

11. Ratings and Reviews

11.1  Following each completed delivery, both Jetpickers and Jetbuyers may rate and review each other. Ratings contribute to each User’s overall score displayed on the Platform.

11.2  Reviews must be honest, fair, and based on genuine experience. Users must not post false, misleading, defamatory, or malicious reviews.

11.3  JetPicks reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms or our community guidelines without notice.

11.4  JetPicks does not verify the accuracy of reviews but will investigate reports of abuse. Users who submit false reviews may have their accounts suspended or terminated.

12. Intellectual Property

12.1  The Platform, including its software, design, graphics, text, and all content created by JetPicks, is owned by JetPicks Ltd and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

12.2  You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

12.3  You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our express written consent.

12.4  By submitting content to the Platform (including photos, reviews, and messages), you grant JetPicks a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute that content for the purposes of operating the Platform.

12.5  The JetPicks name, logo, and all associated marks are trademarks of JetPicks Ltd. You must not use these marks without our prior written consent.

13. Privacy and Data Protection

13.1  JetPicks processes personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at jetpicks.com/privacy. By using the Platform, you consent to such processing.

13.2  JetPicks complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

13.3  You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can submit a deletion request through the Platform’s settings or by emailing info@jetpicks.com.

13.4  JetPicks will retain transaction records for a minimum of 6 years as required by UK financial regulations, even after account deletion. Personal data in these records will be anonymised where possible.

13.5  JetPicks uses Stripe for payment processing. Stripe’s Privacy Policy governs the handling of your payment data. JetPicks never stores full card numbers or bank account details.

14. Limitation of Liability

14.1  JetPicks provides the Platform as a marketplace facilitator. We are not a party to transactions between Jetpickers and Jetbuyers and do not take ownership of, or responsibility for, any items at any point.

14.2  To the maximum extent permitted by law, JetPicks’ total liability to any User in connection with the Platform shall not exceed the total Platform Fees paid by or to that User in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14.3  JetPicks is not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of opportunity, howsoever arising.

14.4  JetPicks is not responsible for the actions or omissions of any User, including the failure of a Jetbuyer to deliver items or the failure of a Jetpicker to pay.

14.5  JetPicks does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or suitability of items purchased by Jetbuyers on behalf of Jetpickers.

14.6  Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

14.7  JetPicks is not liable for any losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, government restrictions, pandemic, war, or failures of third-party services including Stripe, InPost, or telecommunications providers.

15. Indemnity

15.1  You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JetPicks Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

16. Account Suspension and Termination

16.1  You may delete your account at any time via the Platform’s settings. Account deletion is permanent and all personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to our legal retention obligations.

16.2  JetPicks reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time without notice where we reasonably believe a User has:

16.3  Where an account is suspended or terminated by JetPicks, any funds held in Escrow for active Orders will be dealt with in accordance with Clause 8.

16.4  JetPicks may also suspend or terminate the Platform itself, or any feature of it, at any time. Where possible we will provide reasonable notice.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

17.1  These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

17.2  Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

17.3  Before commencing legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting JetPicks at info@jetpicks.com. We will use reasonable endeavours to resolve complaints within 14 business days.

17.4  If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

18. General Provisions

18.1  These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and JetPicks in relation to your use of the Platform.

18.2  If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

18.3  JetPicks’ failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

18.4  You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. JetPicks may assign these Terms at any time.

18.5  These Terms do not create any partnership, joint venture, employment, agency, or franchise relationship between you and JetPicks.

18.6  Notices from JetPicks to you will be sent to the email address registered on your account. It is your responsibility to keep this address current.
