JetPicks Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We operate the JetPicks platform, a peer-to-peer international delivery marketplace connecting Jetpickers (shoppers) with Jetbuyers (travellers).

2 What Data We Collect

Data you provide directly

  • Full name and email address when you register
  • Phone number
  • Profile photo and avatar
  • Country of residence and city of residence
  • Delivery address for each order
  • Where you ask us to deliver to someone other than yourelf, that person's name phone number and delivery address/li>
  • Payment information processed securely via Stripe
  • Bank account details provided for Jetbuyer payouts via Stripe Connect
  • Order details including item name, description, store link, price and photos
  • Travel route and trip details (Jetbuyers)
  • Messages sent through our in-app chat
  • Ratings and reviews you submit
  • Delivery confirmation photos
  • Receipt or proof of purchase photos (Jetbuyers)

Data collected automatically

  • IP address and device information
  • App usage data and session information
  • Push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
  • Log data including errors and crash reports

Data from third parties

  • If you sign in with Google or Facebook we receive your name, email address and profile photo from those providers
  • Payment and transaction data from Stripe

4 Legal Basis for Processing

  • Legal obligation — processing required to comply with applicable laws including anti-money laundering and fraud prevention regulations
  • Legitimate interests — improving the platform, preventing abuse, and ensuring platform safety
  • Consent — where you have given us explicit consent, such as for marketing communications

5 Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only where necessary with the following categories of third parties:

  • Stripe — payment processing and Jetbuyer payouts. Stripe is certified to PCI DSS Level 1. See stripe.com/privacy
  • Firebase (Google) — push notifications, authentication, analytics and crash reporting. See firebase.google.com/support/privacy
  • Facebook / Meta — if you use Facebook login. See facebook.com/policy
  • MyMemory — message translation, if you enable it. Message text is transmitted for translation.
  • Anthropic — powers our in-app support assistant. Order details are sent so it can answer questions about your own order
  • Sentry — error and crash reporting
  • DigitalOcean — our cloud hosting provider. Servers located in London, United Kingdom with appropriate safeguards in place
  • Law enforcement or regulatory bodies — where we are legally required to do so
  • Other users — your display name, profile photo, rating and order details are visible to other users as necessary to facilitate the marketplace

6 International Data Transfers

Some of our third-party providers are based outside the UK. Where we transfer your data internationally we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions recognised by the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

7 How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Account data — retained for the duration of your account plus 2 years after deletion
  • Order records — retained for 7 years for financial and legal compliance purposes
  • Chat messages — retained for 2 years
  • Payment records — retained for 7 years as required by HMRC
  • Log data — retained for 90 days

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notification. The date at the top of this document indicates when it was last updated. Continued use of JetPicks after changes are notified constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
