JetPicks Ltd · Registered in England and Wales
IMPORTANT: Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the JetPicks platform. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the JetPicks platform, including our mobile application, our website at jetpicks.com, and any related services (together, the “Platform”).
1.2 The Platform is operated by JetPicks Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (“JetPicks”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Our registered office is at 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.
1.3 By registering an account or using any part of the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
1.4 We may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes by email and in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance.
1.5 If you use the Platform on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration
3.1 You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By registering you confirm you meet this requirement. We may suspend or terminate any account we believe belongs to someone under 18.
3.2 You must provide accurate, complete and current information when registering, and keep it up to date.
3.3 You must not create more than one account without our written permission. Duplicate accounts may be suspended.
3.4 You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
3.5 Notify us immediately at support@jetpicks.com if you become aware of unauthorised use of your account.
3.6 We may verify your identity and request documentation. Failure to provide it may result in suspension.
3.7 We may refuse registration, or suspend or terminate any account, where we believe these Terms have been breached.
3.8 You are responsible for ensuring you are legally permitted to use the Platform where you live.
3.9 Payout availability. JetBuyers can only be paid in countries our payment processor supports for connected accounts. That is currently 42 countries. If your country is not among them you may still use the Platform as a JetPicker, but you cannot receive payment as a JetBuyer until support becomes available. The Platform tells you this when you enter your country, when you set up a payout account, and when a JetPicker creates an Order on a route where JetBuyers cannot be paid. This is a limitation of our payment processor’s coverage, not a judgement about you or your country.
4. How the Platform Works
4.1 Creating and paying for an Order
4.1.1 JetPickers create an Order specifying the items they want, including descriptions, prices, store links where available, and the route. They may also give a size or variant, a brand or model, and whether an acceptable alternative may be bought if the item is unavailable.
4.1.2 A JetPicker sets a Reward. The Platform suggests an amount based on effort: a base amount, the weight carried, and a small allowance for the value of the goods. The suggestion is guidance only; the JetPicker may offer more or less.
4.1.3 A JetBuyer may accept the Reward as offered, or make one counter offer. The JetPicker may accept or decline it. No further negotiation is possible on that Order.
4.1.4 If a counter offer is accepted, the counter offer amount becomes the binding Reward.
4.1.5 A JetPicker pays through the Platform. Funds are held in Escrow.
4.1.6 A JetBuyer may accept an Order before it is paid for. The Platform tells the JetBuyer clearly whether payment has been secured, and a JetBuyer must not purchase items until it has.
4.2 Purchasing and delivery
4.2.1 JetBuyers register their upcoming travel, including route, dates and available luggage capacity. Orders matching their route are shown to them.
4.2.2 The JetBuyer purchases the items with their own money and uploads proof of purchase. They are reimbursed the Item Cost in full when the Order completes.
4.2.3 The JetBuyer records what they actually paid. Where the actual cost is lower than the JetPicker was charged, the difference is refunded to the JetPicker automatically. Differences below £3, €3 or $3 are retained by the JetBuyer, as the cost of processing such a refund would exceed its value.
4.2.4 A JetPicker can never be charged more than they have approved. Where an item costs more than quoted, the JetBuyer must request additional funds through the Platform and wait for approval before buying. Reimbursement is capped at the amount the JetPicker approved. Anything spent above that is not covered.
4.2.5 A JetPicker has 24 hours to approve or decline a request for additional funds. If they decline, or do not respond, that item is removed from the Order and its cost is refunded. Requests above a threshold set by us are reviewed by JetPicks before being passed to the JetPicker.
4.3 Completing an Order
4.3.1 At handover the JetPicker shows the JetBuyer a four-digit Delivery Code, which the JetBuyer enters in the Platform. This completes the Order and releases payment.
4.3.2 Three incorrect attempts lock code entry for 30 minutes.
4.3.3 Where a JetPicker has nominated someone else to receive the Order, the JetPicker is responsible for passing the Delivery Code to that person before handover.
4.3.4 If a JetPicker cannot or will not provide the Delivery Code, the JetBuyer may instead submit proof of delivery. If the JetPicker does not confirm or raise an issue within 72 hours, the Order completes automatically and payment is released.
4.3.5 If the JetPicker raises an issue during that period, the countdown stops and payment is held until the issue is resolved.
4.4 Partial and failed delivery
4.4.1 Where some items could not be delivered, the JetBuyer records which ones and why. The JetPicker is refunded the Item Cost of those items in full.
4.4.2 The Reward is settled as follows: the base portion is paid in full, because the journey was made, and the remainder is reduced in proportion to the items not delivered.
4.4.3 Where nothing could be delivered, payment is held and the matter is reviewed by JetPicks.
4.4.4 Delivery methods currently supported are in-person handover and delivery to an address nominated by the JetPicker. Locker delivery is not currently available.
5. Payment Guarantee to JetBuyers
5.1 When a JetPicker places an Order, their payment is collected and held by JetPicks. JetPicks does not pay JetBuyers from its own funds; it holds the JetPicker’s payment and releases it.
5.2 JetPicks will release the JetBuyer’s Reward, from the funds held for that Order, where the JetBuyer can show proof that they purchased the items and delivered them, or proof of every reasonable effort to deliver where delivery did not complete for reasons outside their control.
5.3 Release is not conditional on the JetPicker confirming receipt. Where a JetPicker does not respond, Clause 4.3.4 applies.
5.4 Proof means purchase receipts for the items, confirmation of delivery, or evidence of attempted delivery, including the Delivery Code exchange, messages, photographs, or a record of attempts made.
5.5 This guarantee does not apply where items were not purchased, were kept, or where an Order was abandoned with no evidence of an attempt.
6. Fees and Charges
6.1 All fees are shown before any payment is made or Order accepted.
6.2 What the JetPicker pays
At checkout, a JetPicker pays, as a single total:
- the Item Cost of the goods
- the agreed Reward
- a JetPicks service fee, comprising a flat fee of £4.50, €5.00 or $5.50 depending on the currency of the Order, plus 5% of the Item Cost
- a card processing charge of 2.9% plus 30p, 30 euro cents or 30 US cents depending on the currency
The service fee is shown as one line. Item Cost and Reward are never reduced by our fees.
6.3 What the JetBuyer receives
6.3.1 The JetBuyer is reimbursed the Item Cost in full.
6.3.2 From the Reward, JetPicks deducts a service fee of 5%. The net amount is shown before the JetBuyer accepts the Order.
6.3.3 Example: on an agreed Reward of £40.00, JetPicks deducts £2.00 and transfers £38.00.
6.4 Currency
6.4.1 Orders are priced in the JetPicker’s currency. Payments to a JetBuyer are made in the currency of their payout account.
6.4.2 Where those differ, we convert at a rate based on European Central Bank reference rates, adjusted by 0.5% in our favour to cover movement between the time we quote and the time we pay. The amount a JetBuyer will receive is shown before they accept, and the amount that actually arrives will not be less than the amount shown.
6.4.3 Your bank may apply its own charges on receipt. We have no control over these.
6.5 Changes to fees
We may amend our fees. Users will be notified by email and in-app notification at least 14 days before any change takes effect.
6.6 Taxes
6.6.1 You are responsible for any taxes arising from your use of the Platform, including income tax on Rewards earned and any customs duties or import taxes.
6.6.2 We do not provide tax advice.
6.6.3 We are required to collect and report information about sellers on our platform under UK and EU digital platform reporting rules. By receiving payment through the Platform you agree to provide the information we need to meet those obligations, and you accept that we may withhold payment until you do.
7. Payments, Escrow and Payouts
7.1 Payments are processed by Stripe. By using the Platform you agree to Stripe’s terms at stripe.com/legal.
7.2 When a JetPicker pays, funds are held in Escrow. The JetBuyer is notified when it is safe to purchase.
7.3 Funds are released when the Order completes, whether by Delivery Code, by the JetPicker confirming, or automatically under Clause 4.3.4.
7.4 JetBuyers must complete Stripe’s onboarding to receive payment. A JetBuyer may accept and complete Orders before doing so; earnings are held and released once onboarding is complete. The Platform shows what is being held and why.
7.5 We are not responsible for delays caused by Stripe, banking systems, or other matters outside our control.
7.6 Where an issue is raised, we may hold funds pending resolution.
7.7 We do not pay interest on funds held in Escrow.
8. Cancellation and Refunds
8.1 A JetPicker may cancel an Order at any time before a JetBuyer has accepted it. If it was paid for, the payment is refunded in full.
8.2 Once a JetBuyer has accepted, the JetPicker cannot cancel unilaterally. Cancellation becomes a request the JetBuyer must accept, because the JetBuyer may already have purchased the items.
8.3 If the JetBuyer declines the cancellation, or does not respond, the Order remains active and either party may raise the matter with us.
8.4 Once items have been purchased, an Order cannot be cancelled and any disagreement is handled under Clause 9.
8.5 If a JetBuyer cannot complete a delivery, Clause 4.4 applies.
8.6 Refunds are made to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days.
8.7 We may cancel any Order where we suspect fraud, prohibited items, or a breach of these Terms.
9. Disputes
9.1 Either party may report an issue with an Order through the Platform. Reporting an issue stops any automatic release of payment.
9.2 We will review the evidence available, which may include proof of purchase, proof of delivery, photographs, and the record of communication within the Platform.
9.3 Possible outcomes include releasing payment in full, releasing part of it, refunding the JetPicker in full or in part, or a combination.
9.4 We will use reasonable endeavours to reach a decision within 14 business days of receiving what we need from both parties. Both parties are told the outcome and the reason for it.
9.5 We act as a facilitator and are not a party to the transaction between a JetPicker and a JetBuyer.
10. Referrals
10.1 Each User has a referral code. Where a new User enters your code when registering, and subsequently completes their first Order, you receive a discount code.
10.2 The reward is worth one JetPicks flat fee in the currency of the Order it is used against.
10.3 A referral reward can only be earned by a User who is able to place Orders, since the reward is a discount against our service fee.
10.4 Rewards are capped at three per User.
10.5 Codes expire 90 days after issue.
10.6 One discount code may be used per Order. Codes cannot be combined.
10.7 A discount reduces our service fee only. It never reduces the Item Cost or the Reward, so a JetBuyer is unaffected by any discount.
10.8 Referring yourself, or accounts you control, is not permitted. We may withhold rewards and suspend accounts where we believe this has occurred.
11. Users, Conduct and Prohibited Items
11.1 All Users agree to
- use the Platform lawfully
- communicate honestly and in good faith
- not facilitate any illegal transaction or the import of prohibited goods
- keep communication within the Platform, so there is a record if something goes wrong
- treat other Users with respect
- not arrange payment outside the Platform. Money sent outside JetPicks is not protected and we cannot help recover it
11.2 JetPickers additionally agree to
- describe items accurately, including size, brand and any acceptable alternatives
- ensure requested items are legal to buy and to import
- provide the Delivery Code at handover, or to a nominated recipient in advance
- respond promptly to requests for additional funds
11.3 JetBuyers additionally agree to
- not purchase items until payment is secured
- purchase items as specified, or as permitted by any stated alternatives
- comply with airline, customs and import rules
- declare items to customs where required
- record accurately what was purchased and what was delivered
11.4 Prohibited items
The Platform must not be used to request or carry:
- illegal drugs or controlled substances
- weapons, ammunition or explosives
- counterfeit goods
- endangered species or products derived from them
- pornographic or obscene material
- hazardous or dangerous goods
- anything prohibited by the law of either country
- anything breaching airline baggage rules
We monitor conversations for indications that prohibited items are involved, and Users can report a conversation to us. We may suspend any account involved in carrying prohibited items and report it to the relevant authorities.
12. Customs and Import Duties
12.1 You are responsible for ensuring items comply with the law of both countries.
12.2 Any customs duty or import tax is the responsibility of the JetPicker. JetPicks does not pay customs charges.
12.3 JetBuyers must declare carried items where required. Failing to do so is a criminal offence.
12.4 The Platform indicates where a route crosses a customs border. This is information only. It is not advice, does not tell you whether an item is permitted, and does not tell you what duty may be payable.
12.5 By placing or accepting an Order, both parties confirm they have considered their customs obligations for that route.
13. Nominated Recipients
13.1 A JetPicker may nominate someone else to receive an Order, providing that person’s name, telephone number and address.
13.2 By doing so, the JetPicker confirms they have that person’s permission to share those details with us and with the JetBuyer.
13.3 The nominated recipient is not a party to these Terms. The JetPicker remains responsible for the Order, including providing the Delivery Code.
14. Ratings and Reviews
14.1 After a completed Order, both parties may rate and review each other.
14.2 Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience.
14.3 We may remove reviews that breach these Terms.
15. Privacy and Data
15.1 We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy at jetpicks.com/privacy-policy.
15.2 We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
15.3 You may access, correct or delete your personal data. You can delete your account in the Platform’s settings, or request deletion at jetpicks.com/delete-account. That page explains what is deleted and what we keep.
15.4 We retain records of Orders, payments, refunds and payouts for at least six years as required by UK law, even after account deletion. Your identity is removed from those records.
15.5 We use Stripe for payments. We never store full card or bank details.
15.6 Our in-app support assistant is automated. To answer questions about your own Orders, information about those Orders is sent to a third-party artificial intelligence provider. It never receives information about another User’s Orders, your payment details, or a Delivery Code. It is not a substitute for contacting us, and it does not make decisions about your account or your money.
15.7 Where you nominate a recipient, we store that person’s name, telephone number and address for the purpose of completing the delivery.
15.8 If you turn on automatic message translation, the text of messages sent to you is transmitted to a third-party translation service. Do not send sensitive information in a conversation set to translate.
16. Limitation of Liability
16.1 We provide a marketplace. We are not a party to transactions between Users and do not take ownership of any items.
16.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except for our obligation under Clause 5 to release funds held for an Order, our total liability to any User shall not exceed the total service fees paid by or to that User in the 12 months preceding the claim.
16.3 We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
16.4 We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of any User.
16.5 We do not guarantee the quality or suitability of items purchased.
16.6 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16.7 We are not liable for losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
17. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify JetPicks Ltd, its directors, employees and agents against claims arising from your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, your breach of any law, any item you request or carry, any dispute with another User, or your infringement of third-party rights.
18. Suspension and Termination
18.1 You may delete your account at any time in the Platform’s settings, or at jetpicks.com/delete-account. You cannot delete your account while an Order is in progress.
18.2 We may suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe a User has breached these Terms, acted fraudulently or illegally, posed a risk to others, provided false information, or failed to pay amounts owed.
18.3 Funds held for active Orders will be dealt with under Clauses 8 and 9.
18.4 We may suspend or withdraw the Platform or any feature. Where possible we will give reasonable notice.
19. Governing Law
19.1 These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
19.2 Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
19.3 Before commencing proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter by contacting support@jetpicks.com.
20. General
20.1 These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us.
20.2 If any provision is invalid, the rest continue in effect.
20.3 Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
20.4 You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may.
20.5 These Terms do not create a partnership, employment or agency relationship.
20.6 Notices will be sent to the email registered on your account.
